The regular use of anti-ageing skin care products is becoming normal these days; this is due primarily to the fact we are all living longer and want to continue looking younger as we age. This group of beauty products generally works by enabling the synthesis of collagen, the main protein of connective tissue in animals and the most abundant in our body; almost 25 percent of the protein in skin is actually collagen. Collagen is related to other anti-ageing substances found in the body and other substances; known as antioxidants, they are the body's method of slowing down the ageing process.
You probably know many anti-oxidants by name, including vitamin C, the use of which is still, even now, hotly debated in the science and nutrition community. Unfortunately all skin care treatments that use vitamin C have the problem of atmospheric oxidization to contend with once the product is exposed to the air.
Other skin care treatments which mimic the effects of vitamin C are being tried all the time which are hoped to be more stable in the atmosphere and also cheaper to produce. These new anti-oxidant products are not quite as good as vitamin C although other naturally occurring compounds, vitamin E and lipoic acid can achieve the same effect.
Vitamin E is an antioxidant and component of human blood whose purpose is to help increase the body's immune system; one particular disease it may help to prevent is certain types of cancer. Lipoic acid is found in every single human cell and helps provide energy; an additional function is to repair skin damage caused by the normal aging process.
Phytochemicals form the other category of anti-ageing skin care products which are special chemicals that are extracted from plants with a variety of that are used in skin care today. Phytochemicals prevent occurrence of certain types of cancer; examples of these are:
*Cancer that attacks the Prostate
*Breast Cancer in Women (and occasionally men)
*Cancer of the Colon
All of which are on the increase globally.
Surprisingly, the group of vitamins; B5, B6, and B12 have also shown that they can be used to help reduce the effects of ageing. The field of anti-ageing skin care products is vast and needs a great deal more research. Although current regimes are quite effective, there are many ways to combat the effects of time; with the number of genetic discoveries made in recent years, it is only a matter of time before conquering the effects of age is commonplace.
In time it is hoped that less expensive and more reliable anti-ageing skin care products will become available for a larger number of people to use. A person should never accept that everything science devises in relation to skin care and anti-aging is always going to be the best; in some respects the real way ahead lies in our own hands as there are many things we can do to reduce the signs of aging - naturally. Natural methods are known, but few people actually follow them; what proportion of the population actually eats healthily, takes plenty of exercise, drink sufficient water and obtain restful and regular sleep?
Besides all These great methods for anti-aging there is now an easier solution. The new "AGELESS EXTRA" from Univera is the new health product of the century. Backed-up by science driven research and a mission to help lives in all ages, the company Univera is quietly making it's mark in the "wellness" industry. The "Ageless Extra" has the most "ORAC" score content comparing to any product on the market right now.

The Top High Fiber Foods And Health Drinks Are Not In Stores
Consuming fruits, vegetables and water every day is important, and now, superior fitness can be achieved with high fiber foods and health drinks not found in grocery stores. Even if you can digest the recommended 25-35 grams of fiber in food and half your body weight in ounces of water every day, as experts recommend, you may not be getting the best nutrition available. Most people find this prospect hard to swallow, and give up quickly on ever reaching perfect health and fitness. It takes too much time, effort and energy to buy, prepare, and devour that much produce, and who can guzzle that much water every day without craving some kind of flavor or enhancement?
The good news is that there are now some very beneficial high fiber foods and health drinks, which are concentrated, so that small amounts help you reach those powerful fiber and water amounts. You won't find these concentrated health foods and drinks on the shelves at your local grocery store, and certainly not in the refrigerator section of the convenience store. We're not talking about so-called "enhanced vitamin water" beverages that are filled with fructose and isolated vitamins, or energy drinks boosted with caffeine and sugar. Instead, we are referring to naturally produced health drinks, concentrated with real whole food sources such as cocoa, strawberry, lemons, peaches and raspberries. These health drinks are loaded with natural antioxidants, complex carbohydrates, and some have several grams of soluble fiber, plus protein from plants. Your body understands how to process these natural drinks better than man-made chemically produced, artificial drinks being sold in stores, and you achieve better results.
The best way to get ample amounts of fiber each day is to eat raw fruits and vegetables. The challenge, though, is how to eat 25-35 grams of fiber in five servings of raw fruits and vegetables every day. Fortunately, you don't have to consume mass quantities of plants to achieve the results that high fiber can offer for keeping your digestive system running smoothly. There are now some delicious high fiber foods available in natural, tasty shakes that you can mix with water or other liquids for much of the fiber you need. Throw in a few frozen banana pieces or berries to mix with the powdered shakes and you are quickly on your way to the fiber and nutrients you need each day with all the complex carbohydrates and essential vitamins and minerals from fruits and vegetables Best of all, the shakes taste good, and some contain FOS, fructooligasacharides, a pro biotic soluble fiber found in foods like garlic, onions or barley. Who wants to have garlic or onions for breakfast when it is easier to have a quick, tasty shake made with real strawberries or cocoa? That makes it so easy to get more essential fiber, complex carbohydrates and natural antioxidants for breakfast than most people get all day.
Drinking diet sodas or high fructose, caffeine and sugary energy drinks to get fit is like lifting 12 oz cans of beer to build muscle up. Those types of drinks only tear your body down, while health drink formulas made from all natural ingredients give your body the nutrients it needs to keep going strong. Water is good, but if you find it incredibly tasteless and boring to drink half your body weight in ounces of plain water every day, look for some new ways to make your water wetter and better. When you can drink a quart of water enhanced with all natural antioxidants and complex carbohydrates for better taste and more benefits, why wouldn't you? It makes no sense to spend more than a dollar for a bottle of sugar water when you can spend the same to super boost that water with natural energy, fat flushing and anti aging properties. Again, we're not referring to loading up on caffeine, sugar, or vitamin water beverages with isolated vitamins and minerals. Instead, we are talking about enhancing your beverages with natural fruits and whole vitamins and minerals from real foods found in nature. It is so easy now to find these carefully produced, powerfully charged health drink formulas that you don't need to shop every health food store or grocery store. You won't find them there, but you will find them on the Internet. You have to step out of your comfort zone, change the way you think about nutrition, and change the way you shop for high fiber foods, health drinks, and other essential nutrition.
Some people think juicing is the best way to get fiber from fruits and vegetables. However, many people find it difficult and disappointing to spend hours cleaning and preparing the piles of produce needed for a small glass of juice. While juicing may have been good for Jack Lalanne, it is not necessary today in order to consume enough high fiber foods and health drinks. Again, you just have to search the net for all natural high fiber foods and health drinks that are not sold in stores. You will find that there is an easier way to get complex carbohydrates, natural antioxidants and soluble fiber, just as you would from a glass of fresh juice, but without the expense or hassle.
Changing my diet to a more contemporary way of eating high fiber foods and increasing the benefits of drinking water with super concentrated health drinks has worked quite well for me. I lost thirty pounds in the first month of my new diet without even trying very hard, and I have easily kept that weight off for more than six years by using the same high fiber shakes and health drinks referred to in this article. I hardly ever shop at the grocery store and get more nutrition for about three dollars from a quickly made, concentrated, all natural shake than most people get in a week. When you find the keys to perfect health you will wonder how you ever lived without them, much the way we wonder how we ever lived without computers and cell phones. So, get out of the kitchen, get on the net, get your nutrition, then go out and live life to the max!

How do you attain weight loss through fasting?
Fasting, when done properly, can be a basic part of a solid weight loss plan. If done correctly it can be a great start to your new way of living. On the other hand, you might be so ravenous after fasting for a long time that you might just pounce upon all those goodies you have not eaten during the fast. Willpower, willpower!
When I first started my weight loss program, I began with a fast. I have fasted for 2-7 days on a few different occasions. The reason that fasting can be such a great way to start a weight loss program is because you can see results immediately.
It will also make it very easy to stick to your diet for the first week. After not eating for a few days, your food will taste better. This is a great time to go a few days eating only fruits and vegetables. This can easily turn your two day fast into a 7 day, full body cleanse.
Fasting can make you look much thinner in only a couple days. You may not lose a significant amount of weight, but it will look like you have. It can make your waist noticeably thinner and clear up blemishes or skin problems.
Although I do not think fasting is to be used specifically for weight loss, I think you can do it to get your body ready for a healthier way of living. Use it as a way to cleanse your body out and get rid of all the toxins clogging your system.
I suggest drinking fruit and vegetable juices while fasting. I have read that you should do a water fast, but it can be a miserable experience if you have never fasted before. So stick to natural juices.
One of the better results I saw from my fasting experience was that I have more self control over my eating habits. I have always been a binge type of eater. After my fast, I felt like I could restrain myself easier. It is probably a mental attribute. I mean if I can go without eating for 7 days then I can sure keep myself from eating something I should not.
So although I do not think you can use fasting as a diet or weight loss program, I do feel that it can be a great start to a proper weight loss diet and exercise program. I think it is definitely something that everybody should do at least once a year.
If you have any health problems, you should consult a physician before starting any weight loss program. And, if you absolutely cannot go without food then simply try going a few days eating vegetables and fruits only. This will give you most of the same results as the fasting will. However, I recommend the fast over the fruits and vegetables because of the confidence and control you will begin to enjoy as a result.

What You Need To Know About Online Medical Resources
Medical advice online is available via a variety of sources. These sources range from commercial, to non-profit, and governmental. We'll examine a few of the major players in each sector.
After a shakeout in the commercial medical websites (remember DrKoop.com?) there are a number that have emerged with viable financial models that can also be useful for preliminary medical information. The leader in the industry is WebMD, a site that has shown sufficient success that it can afford to engage in broadcast advertising. A recent start-up that made a lot of noise when its doors opened is Revolution Health, a company that hopes to compete with WebMD and others; among their plans are kiosks in retail stores that will provide a sort of hybrid service. Revolution Health was founded by Steve Case, the man who brought us AOL.
Other strong contenders include MedlinePlus; a well organized site that includes, among other informational sources, 165 tutorials using slides and/or video. This site contains the health database produced by NIH's National Library of Medicine. eMedicine.com started out as a professional resource for those in the medical profession. According to their website, "Nearly 10,000 physician authors and editors contribute to the eMedicine Clinical Knowledge Base, which contains articles on 7,000 diseases and disorders. The evidence-based content, updated regularly, provides the latest practice guidelines in 59 medical specialties." In 2003 they launched a consumer version at eMedicineHealth.com.
MedHelp.org, despite its org. designation, is a commercial online healthcare destination. They claim to be the sixth most visited healthcare website. Medem is a hybrid website, designed to provide an online location for personal health records. The site combines its physician-oriented service with some consumer information. It's the online version of a medical health records third party administrator. It is also recognized as an excellent resource for information by other information providers in the field.
From the U.K. comes NHS Direct located at www.nhsdirect.nhs.uk/help/. The service began as a telephone consultancy for health issues and is now more than a telephone health line - along with their website; they have added a digital TV service that is interactive. The home page has a couple of excellent tools for assisting in analyzing symptoms.
For a vetted list of informational sites visit healthweb.org/. This site simply lists medical issues in clickable form. Click on diabetes, for instance, and you will be given a page with several medical schools and affiliated research organizations that have specialty information on the topic located on their websites. Another fine compendium of information is posted by the Department of Health and Human Services at consumer.gov/health.htm. This site provides a list of issues and illnesses to choose from and has in its database a great deal of specific material from such resources as the National Institutes for Health.
The Medical Library Association has a top ten list of sites that they have identified on the basis of credibility, content, purpose and links. Those include cancer.gov; familydoctor.org; the Mayo Clinic (mayoclinic.com) and kidshealth.com which is sponsored by the Nemours Foundation.
Other highly recommended non-profit sites include the University of Pittsburgh's Health Information for the Consumer at www.hsls.pitt.edu/guides/chi/. This site is another well organized consumer site that provides basic information on health problems and suggests a path for finding treatment. Aetna provides the support for InteliHealth (intelihealth.com) a site that utilizes Harvard Medical School's consumer health resources.
If you're looking for a family orientation, there's medFamily at: medfamily.org. This site contains sections on women's health and children's health along with the standard collection of encyclopedic material and featured articles. For general information and recommendations, the large organizations such as the American Medical Association and the American Cancer Society have large databases. The AMA in particular tries to provide localized information for people seeking medical help.

MSM - The Key To Good Health
Methylsulfonylmethane (MSM) is essential in maintaining optimum health. It nourishes our hair, skin, muscles, joints and nails; it can reduce pain and inflammation; it also has been shown to increase blood circulation, strengthen capillary walls and thus heal varicose veins; and it can be helpful in treating many other conditions such as arthritis, asthma, emphysema, tendinitis, diabetes, acne, carpal tunnel syndrome, chronic fatigue, constipation, digestive disorders, parasite infestations, allergies, toxic build-up and ulcers.
One well-known advocate of MSM, Stanley W. Jacob, M.D., co author of "The Miracle of MSM," records having cared for over 18,000 patients with MSM. Some of the conditions that he claims to have successfully treated with MSM include myasthenia gravis, lupus, fibromyalgia and snoring. Another prominent spokesperson for MSM, Robert M. Herschler, Ph.D., has found MSM to be an effective "ameliorating agent" against many of the physiological responses to stress.
In experiments that have been performed with mice, MSM effectively reduced arthritis related joint deterioration, deformities and swelling. Other animal studies have shown that MSM has a potential for treating breast cancer, colon cancer and anemia. Studies done on humans showed MSM comparing favorably against a placebo when tested for effectiveness against such ailments as osteoarthritis of the knee and also hay fever.
MSM is a naturally occurring organic sulfur compound. It is present in fresh fish, meat, plants and fruit. That being the case, is there any need for MSM supplementation? Herschler states that the MSM that is in those substances is lost with even a modest amount of processing such as drying or heating. Since most people who live in North America rely heavily on processed foods, there may be little or no MSM in their diet. And as it is a crucial component in one’s health, the need for supplementation becomes clear.
Why is MSM so conducive for good health? It is a sulfur compound and sulfur is an essential mineral for the body. Sulfur is a component of bones, teeth and collagen (the protein in connective tissue.) The sulfur mineral is needed in the manufacture of many proteins, including those that form hair, muscle and skin. Thus all of those body parts are strengthened through the use of MSM.
How much MSM does one need to take and how often? Some of the research that has been conducted on MSM indicates that one needs to take a steady supply of it for it to help maintain one’s health. Phyllis and James Balch, in their book "Prescription For Nutritional Healing," recommend that one should start with a dosage of 1,000 milligrams of MSM a day. That should eventually be raised to 2,000 milligrams a day. There has been no evidence of any toxicity build up or harmful side effects from the regular use of MSM at those dosages. However, it is generally advised that pregnant women and nursing mothers should avoid MSM.
MSM is available for use in capsules and tablets. It is also available for application to the skin as a lotion, cream or gel.

Share Information on Lung Cancer
When you breathe in, air passes from your nose or mouth through the windpipe (trachea), which divides into two tubes (airways), one going to each lung. These are known as the right and left bronchus and they divide to form smaller tubes called bronchioles, which carry air through the lungs. At the end of the bronchioles are millions of tiny air sacs called alveoli. In the alveoli, oxygen is absorbed from air breathed in and passes into the bloodstream to be circulated around the body.
Lung cancer is one of the most common types of cancer. The lungs are a pair of cone-shaped organs situated inside the chest, they bring oxygen into the body and take out waste carbon dioxide. There is a strong link between smoking and lung cancer. There are two main categories of lung cancer; Small Cell Lung Cancer (SCLC) , and Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer (NSCLC). World-wide over 1 million people are diagnosed with lung cancer each year.
Sometimes the instructions to a cell go haywire and that cell and its offspring reproduce wildly, without regard for the shape and function of a lung. That wild reproduction can form tumors that clog up the lung and make it stop functioning as it should. Because of the large size of the lungs, cancer may grow for many years, undetected, without causing suspicion. Lung cancer can spread outside the lungs without causing any symptoms.Adding to the confusion, the most common symptom of lung cancer, a persistent cough, can often be mistaken for a cold or bronchitis.
The main types of lung cancer are small cell lung carcinoma and non-small cell lung carcinoma. This distinction is important because the treatment varies; non-small cell lung carcinoma (NSCLC) is sometimes treated with surgery, while small cell lung carcinoma (SCLC) usually responds better to chemotherapy and radiation. The most common cause of lung cancer is long term exposure to tobacco smoke. The occurrence of lung cancer in non-smokers, who account for fewer than 10% of cases, appears to be due to a combination of genetic factors, radon gas, asbestos, and air pollution, including second-hand smoke.
Lung cancer is one of the most common cancers in the world. It is a leading cause of cancer death in men and women in the United States. Cigarette smoking causes most lung cancers. The more cigarettes you smoke per day and the earlier you started smoking, the greater your risk of lung cancer. High levels of pollution, radiation and asbestos exposure may also increase risk.
Cancer of the lung, like all cancers, results from an abnormality in the body's basic unit of life, the cell. Normally, the body maintains a system of checks and balances on cell growth so that cells divide to produce new cells only when needed. Disruption of this system of checks and balances on cell growth results in an uncontrolled division and proliferation of cells that eventually forms a mass known as a tumor.
Yet most lung cancer deaths could be prevented. That's because smoking accounts for nearly 90 percent of lung cancer cases. Your risk of lung cancer increases with the length of time and number of cigarettes you smoke. If you quit smoking, even after smoking for many years, you can significantly reduce your chances of developing lung cancer. Protecting yourself from other risk factors for lung cancer, such as exposure to asbestos, radon and secondhand smoke, also decreases your risk.

How To Avoid Fats In Healthier Eating
While some fat in the diet is necessary, and it would be a mistake to try to eliminate all fat from the diet, most people simply eat too much fat. Cutting back on fat is an important part of creating a healthier diet and lifestyle.
There are a number of good reasons for cutting back on levels of dietary fat. Those reasons include:
- Lowering levels of dietary fat helps in weight loss and weight management. Fat contains twice as many calories per gram as protein and carbohydrates, so eating less fat usually means consuming fewer calories.
- Lowering fat has been shown to decrease the risk of heart disease. Dietary fat, particularly saturated fat, has been implicated as a factor in heart disease and elevated cholesterol levels.
- A low fat diet may help to reduce the risk of some forms of cancer. Although this matter has not been totally settled, there have been a number of studies which indicate that a diet low in fat can keep certain cancers at bay.
- And of course eating fewer high fat foods means that you will be able to enjoy many more low fat alternatives, such as vegetables, fruits and whole grains. Since these types of foods tend to be nutrient rich and low calorie, they can be enjoyed guilt free.
Of course cutting back on dietary fat is easier said than done, so we have compiled the list of tips for low fat healthy eating to help you get started.
- In place of spreads like peanut butter and full fat cream cheese, use lower fat alternatives such as low fat cream cheese, jellies, jams, fruit spreads, apple butter, mustard, low fat margarine, or low fat mayonnaise.
- Use high fat foods as an occasional treat, not as a dietary staple.
- Use reduced fat or nonfat salad dressings whenever possible. When eating out, request the salad dressing on the side so you can compare the amount used.
- .Instead of butter or sour cream, top baked potatoes with plain nonfat or low fat yogurt. Other delicious baked potato toppings include steamed broccoli, cottage cheese, salsa, low fat cheese and low fat or nonfat sour cream.
- Get creative with seasonings to add flavor without adding fat or calories. Garnishes like lemon juice, herbs, salsa or green onions are great toppings for vegetables and salads.
- Use high fat toppings sparingly. For instance, instead of using a tablespoon of blue cheese salad dressing, try using only a teaspoon.
- Avoid full fat dairy products whenever possible. Using skim milk or 2% milk instead of whole milk can make a huge difference in your daily fat intake. Likewise, low fat alternatives to ice cream, such as frozen yogurt, provide all the flavor and none of the fat.
- Low fat cheeses also provide a great alternative to full fat varieties. Most varieties of hard cheeses are available in low fat versions.
- Use low fat varieties of popular snacks. Ginger snaps, angel food cake, vanilla wafers, fig bars, jelly beans, hard candy and gum drops are all excellent choices for a sweet treat.
- Instead of potato chips, which are very high in fat, choose pretzels, unbuttered popcorn and other healthier alternatives.
In addition to choosing the right foods, the preparation of the foods you buy is very important to keeping fat levels as low as possible. Proper low fat food preparation starts with buying the leanest cuts of beef, pork, fish and chicken, and removing the skin and fat from chicken breasts, legs and thighs.
Broiling, backing and grilling are generally the lowest fat methods for preparing the meats and seafood you buy. Try to avoid frying foods, and if you must fry, try to use a pan that allows the excess fat and oil to drain off easily.
Healthy, low fat cooking does not have to be boring or unappetizing. There are great many excellent recipes for low fat, healthy meals that are easy to make. The most important thing is to be an educated consumer and shop carefully for the healthiest produce, meat

Hemiplegic Migraine – Causes, Symptoms and Treatment
A migraine headache is a form of vascular headache. Migraine headache is caused by a combination of vasodilatation (enlargement of blood vessels) and the release of chemicals from nerve fibers that coil around the blood vessels. During a migraine attack, the temporal artery enlarges. (The temporal artery is an artery that lies on the outside of the skull just under the skin of the temple.) Enlargement of the temporal artery stretches the nerves that coil around the artery and causes the nerves to release chemicals.
Headache and hemiplegic migraine sometimes go together, and sometimes don't. Hemiplegia is simply paralysis on one side of the body. Someone with hemiplegic migraine has, as one of their symptoms or perhaps their only symptom, trouble moving one side of their body. Since this is a common stroke symptom, it can be frightening. The symptoms usually occur during the migraine attack and sometimes for a while afterwards.
Hemiplegic migraine is actually a vary rare kind of migraine and it is also supposed to be a very serious kind of migraine, and after multiple attacks, the results could make the patient become extremely weak and thus he or she must be closely observed. Among the symptoms of hemiplegic migraine, you can include the tiniest of head injuries, paralysis that affects any single part of the body in which there are sensations of needles and pins as too numbness. In addition, the headaches may disappear once the person becomes paralyzed, and there is also weakness on one part of the body including the leg, arms and even face. Finally, there is another symptom of hemiplegic migraine and that is that it causes you to experience difficulty while speaking.
Causes of Hemiplegic Migraine
Hemiplegic migraines are often caused by an inherited gene, but they occur in people with no family history of migraines. Hemiplegic migraine may be autosomal dominant. In about 50% of these families, a chromosome defect may be found on chromosome 19 or on chromosome 1 and involves abnormal calcium channels.
Symptoms
Symptoms of hemiplegic migraine are as follows:
Can be brought by a slight head injury
Paralysis of one body part followed by needles or pins sensation and numbness.
Headaches which usually disappear on the onset of paralysis.
FHM signs overlap significantly with those of migraine with aura. In short, FHM is typified by migraine with aura associated with hemiparesis and, in FHM1, cerebellar degeneration. This cerebellar degeneration can result in episodic or progressive ataxia. FHM can also present with the same signs as benign familial infantile convulsions (BFIC) and alternating hemiplegia of childhood. Other symptoms are altered consciousness (in fact, some cases seem related to head trauma), gaze-evoked nystagmus and coma.
Treatment
Abortive and Pain Relief: Migraine-specific abortives, the triptans and ergotamines, are currently contraindicated in the treatment of Hemiplegic Migraine because of their vasoconstrictive properties and concerns about stroke. One small study was conducted, safely using triptans with patients with Hemiplegic Migraine, but more trials are needed before they're considered a safe option.2 Since the triptans and ergotamines aren't options, other treatments such as NSAID's, antiemetics, and narcotic analgesics are generally used for relief of Hemiplegic Migraine.

Men Makeup Tips and Tricks
Men are now wearing makeup. Even men want to know how to get the closest shave possible and about massage oils that can help them relax after that strenuous workout. According to a well known cosmetics buyer, although there have always been men who have taken great care of their appearance, the strategy is to now appeal to the wider, men’s market - in particular to young men - a market that drives most of the growth in this industry.
Don't be surprised if very soon your toiletry kit contains not only shaving cream, deodorant and toothpaste, but concealer, oil-absorbing face powder and brow gel. The men's market is particularly tempting to large cosmetics companies, which have seen sales at department stores plateau in recent years. Although still a niche market, retailers say men's cosmetics can only grow, given an aging population with the money and motivation to keep their youthful looks.
That's because guys are relying on an increasing number of made-for-men products like these to put their best face forward. uys have gone from secretly filching some of their girlfriends' moisturizers, to owning enough beauty products to make most drag queens blush.
So are we ready to embrace makeup on men? After all, the Beatles' long-ish hair was once considered an affront to modest '60s sensibilities. Or will men's makeup go the route of the men's skirt trend circa 2003 that never quite took off?
The purpose of wearing face makeup, like cover-up and powder, is to hide blemishes. If you have perfect skin, I envy you and you can skip this and the next paragraph and go straight to nail polish, lucky jerk .
Well-known cosmetic empires along with the smaller, up and comers are introducing skin care, fragrance and even makeup product lines targeted to men who have a penchant for primping.
Many male celebrities, actors, and models sit in a makeup chair before making a public appearance. It's no surprise that with modern society's emphasis on youth, perfection, and physical attraction, women aren't the only ones who want to accentuate their best facial features and hide blemishes and scars. Makeup for men is one of these double-edged things for women – yes, we would like men to look better, but how far do we want them to go, and do we want to know exactly how they got there?
Even in the metro age, dabbing concealer on a blemish is seen as an emasculating activity. American ambivalence about men's makeup seems to run pretty deep, as GQ fashion editor Brian Coats can attest, "I just think it can be a scary thing for guys to wear makeup. I kind of understand that." Coats believes makeup on men is not a good idea for the general population. "A guy should look like a guy. I think in general, guys just look better natural."
To reduce blister of eyes, grate a potato and tie in a cloth and place the cloth over eyes for about 15 minutes. Add a little pinch of salt in water and wash for bright and radiant eyes. Mix tomato juice and lemon juice in equal measure and apply around the eyes, after 30 minutes wash it off with cold and hot water alternatively. Make a mixture of sandal wood and nutmeg. Apply it around the eyes previous to sleep and wash it off in the morning.
For the final touch of any masculine handsome routine, I recommend you get some good cologne.

Anti-Aging and the Air We Breathe
The quality of the air that you breathe will affect your health and in doing so have a direct bearing on your lifespan.
Everyone knows of the damage that cigarette smoking can do to a person's health and similarly by breathing in the second hand smoke from other smokers.
If you are a smoker then quitting smoking will help to reduce the damage that has already been done from the smoking and will certainly help to extend your life. If you are living or working in an environment where there are other people smoking then you need to decide what you can do to ensure that you are breathing fresh air all the time.
You should do all you can to encourage other members of the household to quit smoking or if not make them smoke outside so they aren't polluting your living space and effectively reducing your life.
If you are working in an environment where there are pollutants in the air then you should consider looking for a different job that won't kill you as one that has bad air will do.
Even living in or near to major cities will probably mean that you will be breathing air that is full of pollutants for much of your life and a change to a location where there is no pollution will do wonders for your health as well as helping you to live longer.
If some of these suggestions aren't possible at the present then you will have to make the most of your current situation until you can make changes and you should at least get out and about in the weekends to places that are more environmentally friendly where you can breathe some fresh air and restore a little health to your body.
Walking, exercising or just sitting amongst trees will help to improve your well-being and the more you can do that the better.

Do Not Fear Of Getting Older
Some people are afraid what may happen as they get older. Some worry about their health and others wonder about other things that might happen. There is nothing wrong as we age if you look at the positive side of things. Here is a list on how to manage the fear and anxiety of getting older.
The first step in not getting stressed as you get older is to get some exercise and eat a lot of healthy foods. Before exercising, you should talk to your doctor to make sure you do not hurt yourself. A common way to exercise is to take walks around your neighborhood or local park. This is also a good way to meet people.
Make sure you go to your regular doctor appointments to make sure that nothing is wrong with you and your health. A lot of things can be prevented if you get a early diagnosis. This will help you to remain healthy without the fear of old age.
Another way to not getting stressed as you age is to keep your mind active. Do some crossword puzzles or other thinking games to keep your mind sharp. Play some chess or some game that requires a lot of thinking. The more you use your mind the better off you will be as you get older.
Learn effective ways to reduce the stress in your life. Stress is not good for you and it is important to know how to relieve tension and stress. There are counselors that you can talk to if you have trouble dealing with anxiety.
Remain positive and avoid negative thoughts. Also read some self help books that have a lot of positive affirmations and statements. Reading these statements can help you to remain positive and replace negative thoughts. If you still have trouble then see a counselor who can teach you different ways to remain positive and reduce worry and stress.
Develop a network of friends and get involved in different social groups will help you as you get older. Friends can reduce loneliness and also makes us feel better. If you do not know anyone then join a local church or social group. Another idea is to volunteer. There are many people who need help and volunteering will keep us active.
Finally, prayer is a great way to reduce the fear and anxiety of getting older. We are unable to control the events that may happen down the road, however God has the power to take care of you. It wouldn’t hurt to include God in your life and say some prayers occasionally. Prayer is a great way to reduce stress and to remain positive.
Again there is nothing to worry about as you get older if you take things in stride. Everyone ages and is a part of life. If you still have trouble dealing with anxieties of getting older then you should talk to a clergyman or counselor. They can provide additional advice on how to reduce your anxieties. Most of the time, things take care of themselves (The article was submitted by Stan Popovich).

Skincare : Prevention For The Ages
It's never too late to get serious about skincare. However, skin care needs change as we age. Therefore, if you want to fight the effects of aging, it's imperative to change your skin-care regimen through the aging process.
In our 20s and early-30s, skin is firm and glowing, thanks to an abundance of collagen and elastin. However, many don't realize what they had until it's gone. Appreciate your youthful skin and pledge to care for it by sticking to a solid care routine, choosing products that prevent wrinkles, and applying sunscreen religiously on a daily basis.
One of the biggest skin care mistakes younger women often make is not using sunscreen as part of the daily routine. It's also important to use appropriate sunscreen, with ingredients that protect from UVA short and long rays and UVB rays. Women in their 20s should choose a sunscreen with an SPF 15 or greater and one that includes UVA/UVB protection with titanium dioxide, zinc oxide, or avobenzone. Wearing sunglasses can also be hugely helpful in preventing aging of the sensitive undereye skin. Women should choose sunglasses that provide at least 98 percent protection from both UVA and UVB rays.
Adult acne can also be troublesome during this time. Again, one of the biggest mistakes young women often make is going to be bed with their makeup still on. Habits like these can add years to the skin down the road. Make sure to always remove makeup at the end of the day before bedtime. Use products that kill bacteria, and exfoliate and unclog pores without over-drying. Cleanse and moisturize on a daily basis and exfoliate twice a week to promote cell renewal.
For those in their 30s, topical retinoids derived from vitamin A can minimize appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Sleep deprivation, drinking and smoking can also be skin robbers. Exercise is also a great way to beat stress and give a boost to your youthful appearance.
Around 40, the aging process begins to take hold. Thanks to the laws of nature - gravity, genetics and sun damage - women become more aware of the effects of aging. Fine lines, pigment discoloration, age spots, and loss of elasticity are just a few of the culprits of the aging process. Issues such as rosacea, blotchiness, and adult acne can also set in. For women in their 40s, now is the time to invest in topical creams that target aging with glycolic acid, retinol and Vitamins A and E. These nutrients have shows to subtly improve the skin's condition and tone with regular use.
In our younger years, we soaked up the rays at the beach, the ballpark and in our own backyards. For those sunbathing in the 1970s and '80s, many of us used baby oil and reflectors to really take advantage of the rays. Unknowingly, we took advantage of our skin's health and vitality. More and more women in their 40s are turning to a combination of medical treatments and cosmeceuticals to use at home. Microdermabrasion, photofacials, and chemical peels help to induce collagen production. Increasing the production of collagen helps achieve the fresh-faced look all women desire. Products such as Obagi C-Clarifying Serum penetrate deep beneath the skin's surface, helping to correct damage in all layers of the skin. Injectables have also become an easy option for women seeking a little instant gratification. Botox, Restylane, Radiesse, and Juvederm all work to smooth away lines and plump up skin.
At 50, the skin is considered mature. Biological and hormonal changes can lead to adult acne and new hair where that was none before. Crow's feet may become more visible and the skin above the eyes and around the throat and cheeks start to become limp.
To battle those pesky problems, some women turn to AFT, or Advanced Flourescence Technology, the latest development in pulsed light technology. The higher concentration of AFT wavelengths target only affected areas and minimize the risk of injury to the surrounding tissue. Vitamin C is also a powerful fighter in the aging process. The vitamin penetrates beneath the epidermal layer and builds and plumps up collagen. It can also be effective in clearing up adult acne.
The 50s are also a time when it's important to stop using pore-clogging make-up. As aging proceeds, the pigment in the skin ages too, which means dense foundations and powders can actually make the face of a woman in her 50s appear ashy and dull. Swap out old blush, powders and shadows with mineral essential-based products.
If Diane Keaton, Sophia Loren, and Susan Sarandon can look marvelous in their 60s, surely there's hope for the rest of us. Women in their 60s want to look at their best, even as decreased hydration, sagging skin, and lower estrogen levels become the adversaries.
By this stage of the game, simply being informed on good skin care isn't enough. It's time to use a collagen-inducing product that also produces elastin - an effective fighter of those annoying crow's feet. Choose moisturizers that pack soy, green tea, retinol, and alpha hydroxyl acids. Use sunscreen with nothing less than 30 SPF daily, and seek treatments and products that encourage collagen and elastin stimulation.
When it comes to makeup, less is more for a woman in her 60s. Cosmetics should not be used as something to hide behind, rather makeup and skin care should be used to enhance and accent mature beauty. Choose cosmetics that contain nourishing ingredients such as aloe, emollients, Vitamin E and natural minerals, which aide in improving the health and texture of skin.
